KENNEWICK, Wash. - The woman who is suspected of victimizing hundreds by stealing their mail and identities may now face federal charges.
United States Postal Investigators have turned over their findings to the assistant U.S. Attorney in Yakima. It's now up to federal prosecutor to decide Dana Webber's fate.
Last month, an eyewitness called police after she saw Webber stealing her mail and she wasn't alone. So far police have found 135 of Webber's victims. Detectives said many more people have reported their mail missing in Kennewick and Richland. But if it can't be found, Webber can't be charged with the theft.
She has already been charged in Benton County for mail theft and identity theft.
If you think you may have had your mail stolen you should call the Kennewick Police Department.
