YAKIMA, Wash. - A local fuel distributor says he may be forced to start rationing gasoline.
Rod Smith of R.H. Smith distributing in Grandview says he was told he'll have to pay 10 cents more a gallon. The amount he can deliver could be cut too, forcing gas station owners to either drastically raise prices or shut off pumps.
Smith says when he has to ration, he can only deliver a percentage of the amount of fuel gas stations actually need.
Local gas station owners are already having a tough time making ends meet, because many of them are losing money on gasoline.
