Delays, Restrictions at Yakima Airport

YAKIMA, Wash. - Flights leaving the Yakima Airport this morning have been delayed an hour. Additional security checkpoints have been put in place to help with screening.

Passengers should still plan to arrive at least an hour prior to their flight.

An official at the Yakima Airport says passengers flying today should not bring any liquid items with them in their carry on luggage.

Prohibited items include things water bottles and other beverages, shampoo, suntan lotion, hair gel, and toothpaste.

Items that are allowed include baby formula, baby juice, breast milk, and prescription drugs provided that the name match the passenger.
