Human Artifacts Found at Mammoth Dig Site

SELAH, Wash. - An archaeological dig in the Wenas Valley could have turned up the oldest evidence of the first people in this area.

Scientists and students taking part in the dig this summer uncovered a piece of a what looks like a stone knife.

If the tool piece is as old as the mammoth, it would mean people lived in this area 16,000 years ago. The dig is part of class put on by Central Washington University.
