Daughter Caught in Heathrow Chaos
KENNEWICK, Wash - A Southridge High School student is home safe tonight after being stuck in the chaos at Heathrow Airport early this morning.
Her parents barely slept a wink last night as they frantically tried to reschedule her plane flights.
The McClellan's have been glued to the news since about one-thirty this morning when they heard their daughter was in the middle of a foiled terrorist plot.
17-year-old Jordan McClellan was supposed to leave London around 12 this morning.
She was in England visiting her sister.
The McClellan's were not able to speak to her until this afternoon when Jordan arrived in Chicago.
"She got ahold of me at work on my cell phone and boy she was crying. She was scared. She was upset. They told her that she would probably have to spend the night," says her father Larry McClellan.
Luckily for Jordan and her family she did not have to spend the night.
She arrived at Pasco Airport around 10pm August 10th.
Jordan's flight out of Heathrow was on a United Airline, one of the airlines authorities believe was involved in the alleged terrorist plot.
