Speed Likely to Blame in Deadly Crash

BOARDMAN, Ore. - Oregon State Police think speed is to blame after a man rolls the semi truck he was driving.

70-year-old Donald Clare Brown from Vancouver, Washington died this afternoon on Highway 730 trying to get on to Interstate 84.

Police said Brown was driving a semi truck loaded with cardboard and wasn't paying attention to the speed limit, causing his truck to roll over on the driver's side.  It came to a stop blocking the off ramp of the highway.

A towing crew used inflated air bags on one side of the truck to pull it back onto it's wheels.

Tonight, the on-ramp to Interstate 84 Eastbound near highway 730 is re-opened.

The truck is registered to a Vancouver warehouse & distribution company out of Vancouver, Washington.
