Lil' Brown Smoke Shack Raided by IRS Criminal Investigation
Yakima, wa - Agents from IRS Criminal Investigation raid the Lil' Brown Smoke Shack on the Yakama Reservation near Union Gap.
An agent at the scene refused to comment on the raid, saying only that they were there on what he called "official business".
The agent did tell KNDO that they were there with several other federal agencies.
A lawyer from the Adam Moore Law Firm showed up to represent the store's owners - Judy Hovis and John Hunter, but also declined comment.
Three years ago, the Lil' Brown Smoke Shack was raided for selling cigarettes without sales tax. No word yet on why it was raided this time, but the role of IRS Criminal Investigation is to investigate criminal violations of the IRS code.
