SEATTLE, Wash - The trade deadline is long behind us, and you would think after signing another contract with this guy for over four million dollars during winter meetings, they'd keep him on through the year.
But today, the Seattle Mariners traded Jamie Moyer to the Philadelphia Phillies. The 43 year old pitcher was in his 11th season with Seattle. This season he had a 6 and 12 record with a 4.39 ERA. Now Moyer heads to the National League with the Phillies. The Phillies gave Seattle right-handed pitchers Andrew Baldwin and Andrew Barb in exchange for the veteran. Philly also got cash in the deal.
