PASCO, Wash. - A man is in jail after he pulled a knife on a Pasco Police Officer.

It happened around nine o'clock this morning.

Neighbors called police to check on a man sleeping in a white pick up truck on West Park Street in Pasco.

They said they have seen him parked there several times before.  The officer asked the man for identification and the suspect pulled out a carpet knife.

The officer pulled out his gun and was able to wrestle the suspect to the ground.

Pasco Police Officer Tom Ninemire said, "I had the vision that it was an ice pick at first and that really made the hair on my neck stand up and take notice and I grabbed a hold of him."

Police report the suspect had five warrants out for his arrest.  They also found a crack pipe inside the white pick up.
