KENNEWICK, Wash.- Many youngsters at the fair are there for more than the cotton candy, they are handlers, there to show off their livestock, and earn some money.
The lambs were the main attraction Tuesday with hundreds of kids showing off their animals.
One of the big winners was 9-year-old Allison Rychman.
It's her first year showing animals at the fair and she made it all the way to the championships.
"My lamb had the most muscles, so he gets to go to the championship," said Rychman.
The kids will be showing off their animals all week in the barn area.
Also on Tuesday night's schedule are the tractor pull at 7:00 and 1970s rockers Styx are performing live at 7:30.
