WEST RICHLAND, Wash - After arbitration, the city of West Richland now has the go-ahead to sell their municipal golf course.
The dispute over operations at the golf course has been dragging on for two years now.
The city of West Richland owns the municipal golf course.
They've been leasing it out to Ms. Michelle Marcum since 1989.
When her lease expired, the city decided to sell the property.
Ms. Marcum was then granted arbitration claiming she had the right to continue leasing the property rather than buying it.
A few days ago the arbitrator ruled in favor of the city.
Ms. Marcum is still operating the golf course at this time.
Mayor Dale Jackson hopes they can keep the golf course open through-out the transition of ownership.
