Gang Graffiti in Pasco

PASCO, Wash. - Pasco police said one teen is behind bars for gang related graffiti.

Police said graffiti is a continuing problem.

Police report they have received four reports of graffiti today.  Officers arrested a 15-year-old this morning.  Police suspect he and his friends are responsible for a lot of the graffiti in town.

Police believe it is gang related and said gang members are proud of their graffiti work. According to officers the Memorial Park area gets hit pretty hard.

Pasco Police Officer Joe Nunez said, "It's nice that we can finally make a link as to one side of these gangs that has been spray painting the Memorial Park area throughout the summer."

Officers ask residents to report graffiti to the police before they clean it up, so they can gather evidence against possible gang members.  Police said graffiti is costly to everyone in the community.
