BENTON CITY, Wash.- The Ki-Be Red Apple Market is now open in Benton City, giving people in a local grocery stop for the first time in months.
The old Ki-Be Market closed earlier this year, forcing people to drive to Richland for their groceries.
Many consumers are excited to have a store close to home again.
"We live a little out of the Tri-Cities a few miles and know it's kinda inconvenient, unless there's a store close by and this one looks like it's gonna be nice," said shopper Ron Borisch.
Another shopper estimated it will save her at least $20 a week in gas, and the excitement isn't just in Benton City,.
One family we talked to drove up from the Tri-Cities just to take a look at the new store.
