Lacrosse-Washtucna breaks state record for consecutive games won

Lacross-Washtucna is a regular on our Sports Finale high school football highlight reels and now they are the owners of a big honor:  They now own the state record for consecutive victories.

Lacrosse-Washtucna beat Kootenai H.S. (Idado) for their 49th straight win under coach Jeff Nelson.  Under Nelson, the Tigercats have won four straight Class 1B state championships.

The Tigercats play 8-man football and took the record from Toledo, which plays 8-man football.
