Pasco Police searching for man
PASCO, Wash. - An argument turns dangerous when 30-year-old Antionio Jimenez got into his car and drove through a park near Whittier Elementary School.
Pasco police think Jimenez might have been drinking when he took off in a rage after fighting with his girlfriend. A close relative who did not want to be identified said he was angry, "he was arguing with his girlfriend, got mad and took off."
It happened around one o'clock this afternoon. Police said he drove down Wehe Avenue in Pasco and tore through a park near an elementary school.
Pasco Police Officer Tom Ninemire said, "He went airborne into a little hill and nosed dived into that and then landed and kept going."
The car caught on fire. Firefighters made it to the scene in minutes along with Police and Deputies but Jimenez had already taken off running and that is something his relatives are shocked by.
Relatives said, "that was unexpected. He never acted like that before. He snapped and went crazy."
Police said, "It's dangerous to the extent that if there were kids in the park he could have hit and killed somebody. The person that was driving this car wasn't thinking."
Police are looking for Jimenez and ask anyone that knows where he is to contact police.
