RICHLAND, Wash.- A new ethanol gas station is now open at Hanford.
The E-85 Ethanol is now available at the Conoco station in Hanford's 200 East Area.
Hanford officials say that nearly a quarter of the reservation's fleet vehicles can use the environmentally friendly fuel, including many vans and SUV's, and everytime they buy a new car, they look to get a flexfuel vehicle.
Anyone on the site can buy the gas.
"Excited, you know, the cost is virtually the same, the performance is virtually the same. So, and everybody is, all americans are all on the same page as far as wanting to help ourselves," said David Baie, Fluor Hanford's Fleet Manager.
Baie said they have already sold more than 300 gallons.
It is expected they'll use about 50,000 gallons a year.
