YAKIMA, Wash. - The Yakima County Jail could be losing more business.
The city of Renton is bailing out of an agreement to send jail inmates to Yakima County. There's some concern other counties will follow suit.
The move could cost Yakima County $600,000 a year. Renton officials say the county has failed to maintain discipline, control, and has provided inadequate medical care.
Yakima County commissioners are fighting it, they say the Renton deal requires a year's notice before termination.
