YAKIMA, Wa -  The Yakima County's Sheriff's office says they're trying to find out who is responsible for damaging important radio equipment.

Sergeant John Durand says someone threw rocks at one of the solar panels of a radio repeater on Darland Mountain.

They use the equipment for search and rescue operations.  The damage was discovered during a maintenance check yesterday.  Each panel costs about 500 dollars.

YSO is asking anyone with information about the damaged equipment to call 574-2535.
