The driver of a truck ran a red light and crashed onto a woman's lawn
RICHLAND, Wash. - The driver of a truck ran a red light and crashed onto a woman's lawn but it is not the first time it has happened.
It happened this morning just after eight o'clock. Police said an elderly man going eastbound on Swift Boulevard went through a red light and crashed into an SUV going southbound on Thayer Drive.
Both vehicles wound up on the front yard. The homeowner said vehiles make their way onto the law every 18 months since his mother moved into the house in 1955.
Terry Jobe said the company who fixes his fence knows who he is, "tell them it happened again. They know who it is and they say they'll send someone in a few days. It's strange that she knows who I am but she does."
He spent the morning cleaning up the lawn as best as possible. He fears that a child will get hit because there is a number of schools in the area. Police said the drivers had minor injuries from today's accident.
