KENNEWICK, Wash - The Kennewick Lions were super fired up for their game against the Walla Walla Blue Devils on Saturday night at Lampson Stadium, but those sly Blue Devils would get on the board first. The Lions missed an extra point making the score 7-6 heading into the second quarter.
Walla Walla quarterback Aaron Mettler would fake the handoff and give it to Josh Klingenberg on the reverse, and Klingenberg was on his horse, setting up a first and goal for the Blue Devils. Mettler would stroll into the end-zone himself for the quick six, the kick was good making the score 14-6 Walla Walla.
However the scoring drive stopped there for Mettler's offense; the Lions blanked the Blue Devils in the second half and rallied back for the 26-14 win.
