PASCO, Wash. - A dead dog was left in front of the Tri-City Animal Control building on Sunday night as the doors to the business remain closed as of last week.
Bruce Young, the owner of the business said several law suits brought against him caused his premiums to skyrocket even though he won the suits.
Now he said he's looking at other companies to try to get his business open.
For now, people cannot adopt, drop off pets, or have them put down until he is fully insured. Young said that may be why someone left a dead dog at the facility's front door.
In this year alone, animal control has taken in over 5,000 animals.
