State Fair Jobs Going Slow

Posted: Updated:

Yakima, wash. - Job recruiters are out at the fairgrounds, looking for a few good men and women to work the Central Washington State Fair.

About 100 job seekers stopped by the fairgrounds on Wednesday, which is a considerable drop from previous years.

Worksource supervisor Michael Villegas said in the past few years, there were about 300 to 400 people looking for fair jobs.

Fair officials will conduct more interviews on Thursday at the gate three entrance on fair avenue.

You can apply between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Work Source will be taking applications on Friday and from Sept. 18 to 29.

Workers are needed for all shifts and cash bonuses are available to those who work all 10 days of the fair.

The Central Washington State Fair runs from Sept. 22 to Oct. 1 in Yakima.
