KENNEWICK, Wash. - Latin music filled the air and many could not help but dance at the fourth Annual Mexican Independence Day Parade.
The event started with floats passing through Kennewick and continued at the Benton Franklin County Fairgrounds.
Thousands are expected to take part in the festivities.
This year's Grand Marshall was Father Dillion from Saint Joseph's Church.
"For years he has been very and involved in immigration issues so we're honoring him for that," said Organizer Jose Sifuentez.
Organizers said today's event brings the community together.
They report about 30 groups involved in the parade.
