KENNEWICK, Wash. - You might not think about what to do in an emergency on a bus or what type of fuel it is running on but one group is coming together to talk about the topics.
For the first time a state wide transit conference is on the east side of the state. 62 people from many different transit groups were at the Red Lion in Kennewick for a two day meeting.
They represent 11 different transit organizations throughout Washington.
One man from Spokane said there is two big misconceptions about public transportation by people who do not ride it.
Bob Faltermeyer said, "One, the buses are smoky or two the buses are empty but once you get to the data you realize both are untrue and that public transportation is a critical part of any community."
