YAKIMA, Wash. - You should expect delays if you're traveling on Tieton Drive in Yakima.
Work began yesterday from 16th to 48th Avenues on Tieton and it will continue through November.
The city of Yakima's Wayne Deason said after repairs are done on Tieton, work will be shifted to 48th Avenue, from Washington to Summitview.
Once that's done, work will begin on 40th Avenue, from Washington to Fruitvale.
Congestion at the intersection of 40th Avenue and Fruitvale Boulevard could clear up.
The Department of Transportation plans to add 'on' and 'off' ramps in the area.
Spokesman Mike Westbay said a second eastbound on-ramp on Highway 12 will be safer for drivers.
