KENNEWICK, Wash. - The body of a 13-year-old boy was found late Sunday night after an extensive search.
The boy was playing a game of paint ball with friends in the Claybell Park near Richland's Amon basin. He may have climbed into a nearby stream to cool off.
Both Richland and Kennewick Fire and Police Departments searched for the boy from early evening until they found his body late Sunday night in a large irrigation pipe.
The Benton County Coroner said an autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine what caused the boy's death.
KNDU has learned the boy's identity, but is waiting for conformation from police to release his name.
