WALLA WALLA, Wash. - The search is on for a mentally handicapped man who walked away from his home.

Ricardo Lara Lara was last seen walking near Highway 125 south of Walla Walla last Friday evening.  He lives at a labor camp near the highway.

Lara Lara is mentally handicapped and doesn't speak English.  His family is looking for him but cannot take a lot time off of work to help with the efforts.  Search and Rescue workers are also looking for the man.

The Walla Walla County Sheriff asks for community members to keep an eye out for the man.

Ricardo may respond if his name is used.  He was last seen wearing a white long sleeve button up shirt, jeans and black shoes.

Ricardo has walked to Milton Freewater before and has also gone to the Walla Walla River.

If you see him call the Walla Walla sheriff's office at 509-524-5400 or 509-527-1960.
