TOPPENISH, Wash. - Susan Smith was standing on her porch on Sunday night with her brother.
Then as she was watching the sky, she noticed a big gray ball.
At first, Smith thought it was a glider or weather balloon, but as the light slowly made its way across the valley, she realized what it was.
Smith then tuned in to Northwest Today to confirm her thoughts.
Smith, who grew up in White Swan, said she always pays a lot of attention to the sky and this time it paid off.
She also said the meteor wasn't going fast and that's why she was able to see it so clearly.
