PASCO, Wash.- The Mark Foley scandal is hitting home.
Democratic Congressional challenger Richard Wright attacked Congressman Doc Hastings's handling of the scandal at a press conference in Pasco Tuesday morning.
Wright thinks the Congressman is helping cover up scandal. He said Hastings's leadership of the House Ethics Committee isn't up to par.
"This Congress has some major problems. It seems like Congressmen are never investigated, until after they resign," he said.
Hastings's camp issued a written response, calling it a last ditch attempt to grab votes.
Florida Congressman Mark Foley is accused of sending sexually explicit e-mails to an underage page last year.
Foley resigned last week.
