No Flu Shot Shortage in Yakima County

Yakima, wash. - Flu season is here and Yakima County shouldn't be worried about a shortage of shots.

Yakima Health District's Gordon Kelly said young children and seniors should get priority for flu shots.

Flu shots are currently available at some grocery stores, pharmacies and from most medical care providers.

Kelly said if you have the opportunity to get the flu shot, you shouldn't wait until the last minute.

Kelly also said last year there was a problem with delivery of the shots.

Flu season has no official start or end, but health officials usually say it begins in October and tails off in May.
