PASCO, Wash.- Musicians from around the northwest will invade Pasco Saturday for the 25th Annual Cavalcade of Bands.
26 groups from three states will compete for the title at Pasco's Edgar Brown Stadium.
The event is expected to attract a wide variety of styles.
A group of musical experts from around the northwest will judge the show, and to celebrate event's the Silver Anniversary, organizers are bringing back some of the show's old time charm.
"One of the neat things about this one, being the 25th Anniversary. There are ten bands coming back that were here originally 25 years ago. The first one had 12 bands, and ten of those bands will be back participating," said Randy Bjur, Band Director at Kennewick High School.
The activities will start at 8:00 Saturday morning, and go all day until the 6:15 finals.
Tickets are $12 at the gate.
The event is hosted by Pasco and Kennewick High Schools, but, because they're the hosts, they're just doing a quick demonstration.
