CORVALLIS, Ore - In a turnover-filled game tonight in Corvallis, Alex Brink passed for 270 yards and a touchdown as Washington State defeated Oregon State 13 to 6. It was the Cougars' first win in Corvallis in 10 years and their first win in October since 2003. Last season, Brink threw for a school-record 531 yards but threw for interceptions against the Beavers as Washington State lost 44 to 33. Tonight, Brink completed 19 of 32 passes with one interception. Jason Hill caught five passes for 121 yards for the Cougars, who improved to 4 and 2 overall, and 2 and 1 in the Pac-10. Washington State's victory came after its 28 to 22 loss to third-ranked USC in Pullman last week. There were a total of six turnovers in the game ... four by the Beavers, including three lost fumbles. Washington State had one pass intercepted and lost one fumble. The Cougars will have their hands full next Saturday in Pullman when they face 16th-ranked California.
