Bonderman Perfect Through 5, Helps lead Tigers to A.L.C.S.
DETROIT, Mich - Detroit Tigers' starting pitcher Jeremy Bonderman made his hometown of Pasco proud today as he pitched five perfect innings en route to a 8-3 win over the New York Yankees. That win propels the Tigers to the American League Championship Series against the Oakland Athletics.
Bonderman attended Pasco High School and was drafted by the Athletics when he was a Junior. He got his G.E.D. and went to Oakland, only to be traded to the Tigers one year later. Turned out to be a good trade for Bonderman! Tonight he pitched eight and one-third innings, with four strikeouts, five hits and two earned runs.
