TRI-CITIES, Wash. - It wasn't your imagination, things were moving tonight. Our news room in the Tri-Cities was flooded with calls from local viewers who say they felt tonight's quake.
It registered 4.5 on the Richter scale, seven miles east of the summit of Mount Rainier around 7:45 p.m. No immediate damage or injuries are reported.
Seismologists don't think the quake was associated with any volcanic activity. It was felt over a wide area and rattled homes throughout Pierce and South King County.
Viewers from Hermiston to Kennewick called us saying they felt the quake.
