KENNEWICK, Wash. - A street light is completely destroyed this morning after a young man in his early twenties drove around a street corner too fast and lost control.
David henning was driving down Creekstone in Kennewick. He drove around a bend in the road, posted at 20 miles per hour, and went up onto the sidewalk crushing the passenger side of his vehicle.
He slammed into the lamp post and then tried picking up the debris from his car and drove off. Police caught up with him a few blocks down the road. His car was still running despite his keys missing from the ignition.
He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes in Pasco for treatment of head wounds. No one else was involved in the crash and alcohol is believed to be a factor.
