Kennewick Archer Headed for Junior World Championships

KENNEWICK, Wash.- A local archer is on her way to the Junior World Championships.

Amanda Purvis of Kennewick is on the U.S.A. Dream Team; she is one of the six best junior archers in the country.

Next week, she'll compete at the Junior World Championships in Mexico.

She's also training for the Olympics, with the hopes of making the 2012 games in London.

Her usual training range was shut down a while back, so now, she's practicing by shooting down one of the aisles at Ranch and Home.
