YAKIMA, Wash. - Giving everyone an equal shot for legal aid was the focus of another event happening on Wednesday night in Yakima.
As part of a statewide alliance, local legal aid programs hosted an open house at the Seasons Performance Hall on Naches Avenue.
The Alliance for Equal Justice aims to further the community's discussion about low income people who don't have access to civil legal aid.
The Yakima open house was one of 17 others around the state.
Speakers included members of a local family who sought legal assistance for their disabled son and Washington Court of Appeals Judge Teresa Kulik, who was the event's featured speaker.
