KENNEWICK, Wash - The Tri-City Americans are off to their best start in franchise history after defeating the Seattle Thunderbirds 3-2 in a shoot-out. The Ams were down early 2-0 after the first period; but Taylor Procyshen scored two goals for the Americans, including the game-tying goal with 12.1 seconds left in regulation, that went in off his skate from a shot by Colton Yellow Horn. Shaun Vey beat Derek Yeomans on the third shot of the shootout to lead the Tri-City Americans to a 3-2 victory. Carey Price finished with 29 saves. The Americans now await the arrival of the Chilliwack Bruins who make their first visit to the Toyota Center this Saturday at 7:05.
