Tucker Trial Moves to Spokane

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A Benton County Judge decides to move a high profile case outside the Tri-Cities. Now we know when and where the trial will begin.

Lawyers in the trial for Mark Tucker couldn't find enough jurors who hadn't already heard about the case. Prosecutors said Tucker drove the getaway car for James Moran. Police believe Moran murdered Danielle and Linda Moreno last year. The case has been in the news ever since.

Out of the first 30 potential jurors, the court dismissed 14 of them. When lawyers complained, Judge Robert Swisher agreed to move the trial.

Thursday he announced the court's decision for the new venue.

"We canvassed several counties in Eastern Washington. I believe the best place is Spokane County," said Judge Robert Swisher, Benton Franklin Superior Court.

Tucker's trial is now scheduled for November 20th, but his next court appearance will be November 10th.
