Richland -- There was a crowd at the Federal Building in Richland this morning. They were there to dedicate something that many say has been a long time in coming.
There is a new sign outside the building. Sleek and elegant, many believe it is more than just a marker. Those gathered Friday call it a symbol.
Federal Court judge Ed Shea said, "Once the sign came out I think people came to understand that there was a court house here. There's been one for 45 years, but because there was no judge until I came in 1998 people didn't think of it as a courthouse."
This morning the sign was officially commemorated. Among those in attendance was Robin Graf with the General Services Administration.
