YAKIMA, Wash. - A car chase in Yakima on Monday night ends in quick arrest.
The chase began in cars and ended on foot.
That's where the joint efforts of the Yakima Police and Sherrif's Departments, as well as the Washington State Patrol, caught the suspect.
The 24-year-old Yakima man stole a pick-up from a local orchard business near Scenic Drive.
The owner of the truck notified police and that's where the chase started.
The police followed the suspect throughout the west end of Yakima.
But as the suspect became reckless on the road, police grew cautious about the situation.
The suspect eventually crashed the pick-up at 14th and Tieton, where he took off on foot through the neighborhood.
But police were able to find him and took him into custody.
Luckily, no one was hurt throughout the entire incident and the stolen truck only suffered minor damages.
