Sunday, October 8th - The 54th Annual Young Ladies Institute Dinner - The Young Ladies Institute #96 is hosting a salmon barbecue on October 8th from 12:00pm to 4:00pm.  Located at the St. Paul Cathedral School cafeteria at 1214 West Chestnut Avenue in Yakima.  The dinner is barbecue salmon, various vegetables, fruit side dishes, and assorted cookie bars for dessert.  The donation is $12.50 per person and all proceeds from the fundraiser goes to support the Seminarian education fund.  For tickets or more information you can call (509) 452-9960.
Friday, October 13th - Suncadia Harvest Festival - Harvest Festival going three days long at Suncadia Inn on 1-90 Exit 80.  There will be a hay maze, bobbing for apples, pumpkin carving, and hay wagon rides.  There is also a toy hunt and coloring contests for children.  There will be a variety of food from local vendors nad on Saturday night a showing of The Birds by Alfred Hitchcock.  Visit www.suncadia.com for more information.

Saturday, October 28th - Feasting Halloween Fun for Senior Citizens - The Sunnyside High School Leader class along with Sunnyside Recreation is hosting a free Halloween lunch event for senior citizens.  Begins at noon at the Sunnyside Senior Center, 1400 Federal Way.  There will be chili, bread, and desserts.  Come dressed up as there will be prizes handed out and games.  For more information you can call (509) 837-8660.
