Richland Police Looking for Three Armed Robbery Suspects

RICHLAND, Wash.- Police are looking for three men they say robbed a man at gunpoint just before 1:00 Tuesday morning.

Richland Police said the three black men were wearing bandanas over their faces when they pulled a 17 year old male from his car in a parking lot at the north end of Columbia Center Boulevard.

The suspects then pointed a semi-automatic pistol at the victim, and told him to empty his pockets, taking his wallet and cell phone before assaulting him.

Police said incidents like this are becoming all too common in that area.

"You put X number of people in a certain area and light a match and you're gonna get some combustion," said Richland Police Captain Mike Cobb.

"Unfortunately we've been seeing quite a bit of that as of late, it was a very, very active summer in that parking lot."

A K-9 Unit was brought in to search for the suspects, but found nothing.

The victim was not seriously hurt.

A 17 year old girl who was also in the car was not harmed.

If you know anything about the robbery, you're asked to call Richland Police.
