Hanford High Student Charged

Posted: Updated:

Hanford High parents got a letter Thursday from the Richland School District. The letter is meant to clarify the sexual misconduct allegations made against the 17-year-old student.

The letter said that the 17-year-old male had been charged with 2nd degree rape but Benton County Prosecutors have now charged him with a B-class felony for indecent liberties with forceable convulsion and two charges of 4th degree assault with sexual motivation.

Richland School District officials say that students were reminded again of guidelines regarding sexual behavior today. The 17-year-old male is currently under house arrest and has an arraignment scheduled for Friday afternoon.
