Hanford Student's Hearing Delayed

Posted: Updated:

The 16-year-old student suspected of innappropriately touching three female students was in juvenile court Friday.

The students arraignment was scheduled for this afternoon but has now been delayed for one week because the student was unable to find a lawyer in time.

Benton County Prosecutors said that a letter sent to parents by the Richland School District was incorrect. The letter said the teen was chareged with second degree rape but he was actually charged with indecent liberties. Prosecutor's say the county office has the final say on all charges. It also said that the student has been expelled from school.
