KENNEWICK, Wash. - A prevention conference was held in the Tri-Cities from Thursday until Saturday.
Officials said topics included everything from drugs, tobacco and suicide.
Over 500 adults and teens from around the state attended the conference.
It is an annual event and this was the first year it was held in the Tri-Cities.
Julio McCloud smoke and said he is going to think twice before reaching for a cigarrette. He said, "I've seen some pretty nasty pictures. Looks pretty awful. I thinking about quitting. My mom made me leave my cigarette's at home."
There was a number of guest speakers, one man talked about the dangers of gambling after he lost millions because of his gambling addiciton.
