KENNEWICK, Wash - It was a battle tonight at Lampson Stadium for the title of 3-A Columbia Basin League champion between West Valley and Kamiakin. Both teams' defense playing strong to start things off, with both the Rams and the Braves having to settle for field goals. But near the end of the first half West Valley was deep in their own territory, and Mike Arent forced a fumble by the Rams' Phillip Jennings. That set up the easy touchdown pass from Carson Meyer to Jacob Potter to put the Braves up 10-3 at the half. West Valley would not score again, but the Braves would in a big way! Final score of tonight's game, 24-3 in favor of Kamiakin. The Braves are now the outright champions of the 3-A C.B.L.; Southridge, Kennewick and West Valley will now battle it out for the second and third place spots.
