Some Unhappy with Richland Sound Wall

Posted: Updated:

RICHLAND, Wash.- The sound wall on the State Route 240 bypass is nearly complete, but many area residents do not think it does the job.

KNDU went to the wall to test out just how well it blocks the sound, and our noise meter showed.

On the road side, it was about 80 decibels, and 70 on the other side, and some people said things were better before.

The wall cost nearly $3 million to build over the past three years.
