KENNEWICK, Wash. - Thieves break into a Kennewick business compound, raid through several vehicles and make off with company goods.
Thieves broke into the Cascade Natural Gas and Snelson Construction compound. Burglars cut through the fence, busted into company vehicles and stole car keys and gas cards.
Officers said Cascade and Snelson were lucky thieves didn't get away with more, and said it's a good warning to other businesses - Don't leave valuables in your cars.
"Even when you think you've got your vehicle locked in a garage or fenced compound, you never know what a thief may be looking for and if you leave valuables in there, they're going to come looking for them," said Sgt. Ken Lattin, Kennewick Police Department.
Police said they have no leads in the case.
