Eagles Lose to Northern Arizona

CHENEY, Wash - At Cheney today, Eastern Washington was outscored by Northern Arizona 44 to 36 in a Big Sky Conference game. The Eagles fell to 2 and 7 overall and, 2 and 4 in league play. Trailing 44 to 22, Eastern Washington rallied in the fourth quarter, with quarterback Chris Peerboom throwing touchdown passes of 9 yards to Brynsen Brown with 8:49 left and 24 yards to Tony Davis with 2:32 remaining to pull within eight points. But the Lumberjacks recovered an Eastern Washington onside kick with 2:30 left to end the threat. Peerboom completed 13 of 23 passes for 179 yards and three TDs. Brown had nine catches for 138 yards and two scores, while Ryan Cole added 79 yards rushing for the Eagles.
